I'm running the Cardiff half marathon with my sister in memory of our Auntie Julie and to raise money and awareness of ovarian cancer which cruelly took her from us earlier this year.

Ovarian Cancer Action is a charity dedicated to beating the UK’s most deadly gynaecological disease. Ovarian cancer is a serial killer. It claims the life of another woman like my Auntie Julie every two hours.  We have to stop it.

The diagnosis and treatment of ovarian cancer lags behind high profile diseases like prostate or breast cancer. It's Ovarian Cancer Action's mission to fund research and spread knowledge and awareness that saves lives. Early diagnosis is essential and women and GP's alike need to have awareness of symptoms and take the threat seriously.  Your support for Ovarian Cancer Action's essential, life-saving work is very much appreciated.
